New Capital Campaign Launched for the White Temple of Peace

An iconic landmark, nearly 100 years old, deserves some special treatment.

Our Lady of Victories at Bowen Hills is of State significance. It is the premier Queensland Catholic memorial for sailors and soldiers who died in World War I.

The church was consecrated in 1925 as a perpetual offering to God in reparation for the horrors of war. It is both a place of memory for the fallen, and a place of refuge for the suffering. Shining from the tower, its Blue Cross shines as a symbol and beacon of hope. What a wonderful reminder, that the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the one true pathway to everlasting peace!

We are the custodians of a significant heritage site for all of Queensland, with important religious and multicultural stories. We need your help to protect and preserve this place for future generations!

Help us keep the Blue Cross shining!
